How to Disable Faceit and Vanguard Anti-Cheat Systems

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for safely disabling Faceit and Riot Vanguard anti-cheat systems when you need to temporarily suspend their operations.

Simple Uninstallation via Windows Settings​

For Faceit Anti-Cheat:​

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings
  2. Click on "Apps"
  3. Select "Apps & features"
  4. Search for "FACEIT"
  5. Click on "FACEIT Anti-Cheat"
  6. Select "Uninstall"
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts

For Riot Vanguard:​

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings
  2. Click on "Apps"
  3. Select "Apps & features"
  4. Search for "Vanguard"
  5. Click on "Riot Vanguard"
  6. Select "Uninstall"
  7. Restart your computer when prompted

Important Notes:​

  • Vanguard will auto-reinstall when you launch VALORANT
  • Faceit requires manual reinstallation if needed
  • Restart your PC after uninstalling
  • Check Task Manager to verify removal

Troubleshooting:​

If the programs don't appear in Apps & features:

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc)
  2. Check if processes are running
  3. End any related processes
  4. Try uninstalling again
